A Joy List is a list of things you can do that will bring you JOY – right now – no matter what else is happening in your life.😍
When my client, “Lena,” created her list, she was amazed to discover so many of her “joys” were simple and cost nothing. Lena’s list included things like: “Look up at the sky.”☀️
Today my Joy List includes: 1) playing with my dog, Buttercup; 🐕 2) taking a walk; 3) playing fun music; 4) dancing with my daughter;💃 5) doing a headstand!
I have noticed that I feel the most joy when I am playing, and I try to infuse that playful feeling into all that I do.
I keep my list taped to a wall so that I am reminded to practice finding my joy, everyday – no matter what. It is always a choice.
If you want a simple way to create more JOY in your life, make a Joy List. 😃
Here are some tips:
- Take 15 minutes and write down at least 10 things that fill you with delight. Do not censor yourself.
- Once you have your own list, post it where you will see it.
- Make a practice of doing at least one thing on your Joy List everyday.
